Hi Abner, thanks for checking back. We are starting to get some activity on the site. I am working to get some discussions going on a couple of our goals. What about The Order are you most interested in? The self-sufficiency network, the spiritual warfare, character development? My intention is that once we get some members discussing these topics on the forums here, I will start laying out our plans and members can start helping to get working on them- building the self-sufficiency network, changing the culture in Cincinnati and spiritual warfare within Cincinnati.

Also, create a Berkey style water filtration system. There are videos on youtube how to do this. Here is one I found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N62RYVeW6y4

You can purchase the food grade 5 gallon buckets at Lowes. Then order 5 gallon mylar bags and oxygen absorbers. There are different prepper style websites that sell these. Make sure you get the correct size oxygen absorbers for the size bucket you are using.
You then buy bulk bags of rice and beans (separately). You can get them at Costco and Jungle Jims in Cincinnati. White rice stores better than brown rice. Walmart also has decent sized bags of dried beans and rice.
First open a mylar bag and place it into the bucket. Pour the rice (or beans) into the bag enough so that you have room to seal the bag and still fit it in the bucket. Heat up a clothes iron and have a straight stick (like one of those square rulers) and place the stick across the top of the bucket and then use the iron to seal the mylar bag most of the way closed. Leave an opening large enough to fit the oxygen absorbers in. (Beans need more oxygen absorbers than rice because there are more void spaces in between beans than rice and thus more oxygen) Let the sealed bag cool a little bit then place the oxygen absorbers in the opening and then press all air out of the bag and seal the opening totally shut. For this last bit it might be easier to use a clamp style flat iron hair straightener. After this cools leave it like that for a day. This gives the oxygen absorber time to create a vacuum seal. If you come back in a day and the bag is vacuum sealed then you are good to go. If not, you might want to try to reseal. If you are happy with the seal, then put the lid on the bucket and using a label (or mark on the bucket) list the month and year that you sealed the food and what is in the bucket.
Another tip, the oxygen absorbers come in packs of multiples. When you open the pack the timer starts on all of the absorbers in the pack. (They start absorbing oxygen) So either have enough buckets ready to use all of the absorbers at once or you can reseal the ones you don’t use. You can research online how to do this.
The mylar bag seals the food from oxygen and the bucket protects the food from rodents.
If you do this correctly this should keep the food edible for 25-30 years. You can store it in a cool dry place and forget about it until you need it.

Members of The Order should first acquire at least a basic level of supplies for themselves and their family. We recommend a basic kit of 1 5-gallon bucket of dried beans and 1 5-gallon bucket of dried rice. And then create a homemade Berkey style water filtration system.

The purpose of this network is to ensure that no matter what situations arise in the world, everyone who is attached to this network has access to basic necessities like food and water, first aid/medical, communication, power etc.
